Overview

A refreshed brand to engage a new branch of customers

Orange House started more than 15 years ago in Taiwan, by Dr. Lin, a PHD horticulturist, who dedicated 40 years of her life educating consumers on the dangers of harsh toxins in our environment and how they make their way into our homes. As a mom, she identified a market demand for natural, safe cleaning products for the home.  

The Need

Orange House engaged 3five to help them tell its story in North America through a new flagship eCommerce website. They sought our UI and UX expertise to create strong, cohesive branding and storytelling with the ultimate goal to expand brand awareness and increase conversions

Keep it Clean and Simple

We created a homepage that’s delightfully simple and added micro-interactions to make the experience feel more human, especially in mobile. A subtle animation occurs when one clicks the “plus” symbol next to a product, prompting the quick view in a beautiful, full-screen setting. Our strategy towards simplicity and carefully thinking through user experiences on all platforms helped exceed our client’s expectations.

Seamless Integration of Content and Commerce

Working closely with the Orange House team, we took a customer-centric approach when creating the site architecture and user experience. Our team helped mold every aspect of their brand, from recreating icons to Photoshopping the product imagery. We analyzed user flow and how consumers would connect with the fresh and clean personality of the brand. Keeping the user engaged, we intended to improve time on site, return visits, product presentation, and user engagement in email sign-ups.

A powerful experience

The simplicity of the design made for a straightforward development process. We leveraged functionality already built for the product modal animations and modified it for our specific needs for this project. Other highlights of the site development include the dynamically updated, cart-summary drop down, and sticky sidebar on the cart page. Both of these features were built to keep the customer focused on completing their purchase.

Bringing it all together

Through bright, visceral Photoshopped imagery and playful brand elements we added a whimsy spark to the site, breathing life into the brand. The redesigned Orange House site fosters a love of family and cleanliness in the home. Although the site is freshly launched, customers are already posting reviews of their love of the product. We dare you to spend ten minutes on the site and not want to try out Orange House products in your home!
